Stalking
RSA 633:3-a — a course of conduct that puts a person in fear for their safety
A person commits stalking who purposely, knowingly or recklessly engages in a course of conduct targeted at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to fear for their safety or the safety of their immediate family, and the person is actually placed in that fear.
Who handles this in New Hampshire: New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence and New Hampshire Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service; and legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the New Hampshire directory.
It is also stalking to purposely or knowingly engage in a course of conduct the actor knows will place a person in that fear, and to break a protective order in the ways the section lists.
A second or later stalking conviction within 7 years of a prior one carries a heavier grade, set out in the section.
