It is unlawful, with intent to terrify, intimidate, threaten, harass, annoy or offend, to telephone another and use obscene, lewd or profane language, suggest a lewd, criminal or lascivious act, or threaten injury to a person or property, and to try to extort money by telephone.
A violation by telephone is a misdemeanor, or a fourth degree felony for a person convicted of it before. It counts as committed where the call was made or where it was received.
