Moving Over for Emergency Vehicles
Section 66-7-332 — pull right and stop for lights and sirens; a lane away, or slow down, for a stopped one
When an authorized emergency vehicle approaches with flashing lights or a siren, every other driver yields, pulls over parallel and as close as possible to the right edge or curb clear of any intersection, and stops there until it has passed.

Approaching a stopped emergency vehicle, or a recovery or repair vehicle, with flashing emergency or hazard lights, a driver moves into a lane not next to it if that is reasonably safe, slows to a reasonable and prudent speed and goes with caution; where changing lanes is not safe, the driver slows, goes with caution and is prepared to stop.
