Recording a Conversation

Ala. Code § 13A-11-31 — one party's consent is enough; a device on others' private talk is a Class A misdemeanor

To eavesdrop is to overhear, record, amplify or transmit any part of the private communication of others without the consent of at least one of the people in it. So a person taking part in a conversation, or with the consent of one who is, is not eavesdropping.
