Staying in Your Lane
C.R.S. 42-4-1013 — the left lane on a highway posted sixty-five or more is for passing
On a Colorado highway with a speed limit of sixty-five miles per hour or more, no one drives in the passing lane, the farthest left of two or more lanes going the same way, except to pass vehicles in a nonpassing lane or to turn left, or where the volume of traffic does not let the vehicle safely merge into a nonpassing lane.
Who handles this in Colorado: legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Colorado directory.
A driver overtaking another passes on the left at a safe distance and does not move back to the right until safely clear of the overtaken vehicle.
