Refused Service

6 Del. C. § 4504 — a store, restaurant or other public place may not turn someone away for who they are, and 180 days to complain

No owner, manager or employee of a place of public accommodation may refuse, withhold or deny its accommodations, facilities or privileges to anyone on account of race, age, marital status, creed, religion, color, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, military status, or national origin.

Email

A notice or advertisement saying that anyone will be refused on any of those grounds is unlawful too.

180 days. A complaint goes to the Division no more than 180 days after the practice. Within 120 days the Division investigates and tries to resolve it by conciliation, and if that fails a panel holds a public hearing.
