Locked Out by the Landlord

KRS 383.655 — back in or out of the lease, with up to three months' rent and attorney fees

If a landlord unlawfully removes or excludes a tenant, or willfully interrupts heat, running water, hot water, electricity, gas or another essential service, the tenant may recover possession or end the agreement, and in either case recover not more than three months' periodic rent and a reasonable attorney's fee. If the agreement ends, the landlord returns all prepaid rent.
