Refused Service
La. R.S. 51:2247 — a place open to the public may not deny equal service over race, creed, religion, sex, age, disability or origin
It is a discriminatory practice to deny anyone the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities and privileges of a place of public accommodation, resort or amusement because of race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin.
Age protection in public accommodations reaches people who are at least forty years old.
Anyone injured by a violation may sue in district court to stop it and recover actual damages, court costs and a reasonable attorney's fee.
