Disorderly Conduct
G.L. c. 272, § 53 — a fine of up to $150 for a first offense
A fine on a first offense. In Massachusetts, disorderly persons and disturbers of the peace are punished by a fine of not more than $150 for a first offense, and for a later offense up to 6 months in jail, a fine of not more than $200, or both.
Accosting or annoying another person with offensive and disorderly acts or language, and indecent exposure, are punished by up to 6 months, a fine of up to $200, or both.
An elementary or secondary school student cannot be adjudged delinquent for disorderly conduct inside school buildings, on school grounds, or at school events.
