Conciliation Court
Minn. Stat. 491A.01 — claims up to $20,000, or $4,000 on a consumer credit transaction
Up to $20,000. Minnesota's conciliation court hears civil claims where the money or property at stake does not exceed $20,000, or $4,000 if the claim involves a consumer credit transaction.
The court administrator serves the summons by first class mail, except that where the claim exceeds $2,500 the plaintiff serves it by certified mail.
