Email

Carry identification, and show it. Any time a person carries a concealed handgun, the person also carries an identification document and displays it when a peace officer or emergency services personnel ask. A handgun unloaded, kept separate from ammunition and cased in a vehicle is outside the rule.

  • Neb. Rev. Stat. § 28-1202.03

A permit is still issued. An applicant is at least twenty-one, has no felony conviction, and has no misdemeanor crime of violence within the ten years before applying, among the other requirements.

A permit is valid statewide for five years, for a fee of one hundred dollars, and renews for fifty dollars. A particular situation is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
