Jury Duty and Your Job
RSA 500-A:14 — no firing or threats over a summons
An employer may not deprive an employee of their job, or threaten or coerce them about it, because the employee receives and responds to a jury summons, serves as a juror, or attends court for prospective jury service.
Who handles this in New Hampshire: legal aid programs, lawyer referral and the state offices, listed in the New Hampshire directory.
An employer who does may be found in contempt of court, and an employee discharged in violation of the section may sue, as it provides.
