The Registration Calendar
Correct. Law § 168-f — a change of address registered no later than ten calendar days after it
Ten calendar days. A sex offender registers with the division no later than ten calendar days after any change of address, internet accounts with internet access providers, internet identifiers the offender uses, or status of enrollment, attendance, employment or residence at any institution of higher education. A fee of ten dollars goes with each change of address or of that status, and a failure to pay it does not affect the division's acceptance of the change.
The yearly form. On each anniversary of the initial registration date, the offender mails the verification form to the division within ten calendar days after receiving it, signed and stating the offender still resides at the address last reported. With a level two or three designation, it also states the offender is still employed at the address last reported. Failing to mail it in time is a violation unless the offender proves the residence address has not changed.

Every ninety calendar days. An offender designated a sexual predator, or given a level three designation, personally verifies the address with the local law enforcement agency every ninety calendar days after release, or after parole, post-release supervision or probation begins, or after release on payment of a fine or a conditional or unconditional discharge. The duty is suspended during confinement and recommences on the date of release.
Before release, and from out of state. An offender registers at least ten calendar days before discharge, parole or release from a facility, or at sentencing when released on probation or discharged. A nonresident worker or student registers within ten calendar days after starting work or school in the state, and reports a change of residence, employment or school address no later than ten days after it.
Who must register, how a level is set, how long registration lasts, and the penalty for failing to register are set out in other sections of the article that are not on this page. Whether a deadline applies to a particular person is a question for a licensed New York attorney.
