Medical Marijuana
N.D.C.C. § 19-24.1-02 — only a cardholder or a compassion center may possess or use marijuana under the program
The department runs a medical marijuana program for production, sale and medical use. No one may possess, transport or use marijuana under it unless authorized as a compassion center, a registered cardholder, or by rule.
- A registered qualifying patient, or a designated caregiver on the patient's behalf, may buy only up to the limits the chapter sets in a thirty-day period.
- There are separate limits on what may be possessed at any time, in ounces of dried flower and milligrams of edibles.
Outside the program, possession is graded by amount under the controlled substances law, on the marijuana page.
