Voting After a Felony

N.D.C.C. § 12.1-33-01 — the vote is lost only during actual incarceration

Someone sentenced to imprisonment for a felony may not vote, run for or hold public office during the term of actual incarceration. The sentence itself states that those rights are lost only then.

Email

A person sentenced in another state or federal court loses these rights only during actual incarceration too, and one present in this state is presumed restored.
