Getting Public Records
ORS 192.329 — a complete response, or a status and an estimate, within 10 business days after acknowledgment
A public body completes its response to a written records request as soon as practicable and without unreasonable delay.
Ten business days. Not later than 10 business days after the date it must acknowledge the request, the body either completes its response or gives a written statement that it is still processing, with a reasonable estimated completion date.
A complete response provides the records, names any exemption claimed and tells the requester they may seek review. A fee that is not paid within 60 days closes the request.
