Towed From A Private Lot
ORS 98.853 — a photograph first, and free release if the hookup is not complete
Before towing a vehicle from private property, a tower takes at least one dated and timed photograph of it as it was parked, keeps it for at least two years, and gives the owner or operator a copy on request at no extra charge.
There before it is hooked up. If the owner or operator is present, the tower releases the vehicle at no charge unless the hookup is complete. If it is complete, the tower releases it for no more than the posted hookup charge.
A tower with several storage lots takes the vehicle to the closest one with space in the same county.
