Refused Service

R.I. Gen. Laws § 11-24-2 — no refusal at a public accommodation for race, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity

No owner, manager or employee of a place of public accommodation, resort or amusement may refuse, withhold or deny its accommodations, directly or indirectly, because of race or color, religion, country of ancestral origin, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.

No one may post or publish a notice that a place's services will be refused to anyone on those grounds, or that someone is unwelcome there because of them.

Federal law covers public accommodations too. A particular refusal is a question for a licensed Rhode Island attorney.
