Tobacco and Vapes Under 21
R.I. Gen. Laws § 11-9-13 — no sale, gift or delivery of any tobacco or vaping product to anyone under twenty-one
No one may sell, give or deliver any tobacco product to a person under twenty-one years of age, including cigarettes, cigars, blunts and wraps, rolling papers, pipe and chewing tobacco, snuff and electronic nicotine delivery products.
Every place that sells tobacco, including by vending machine, posts notice of the law conspicuously.
The penalties fall on the seller under the chapter's licensing rules. A particular situation is a question for a licensed Rhode Island attorney.
