S.C. Code 15-1-310 — no civil liability for good faith emergency care, short of gross negligence

Good faith, without pay. A person who in good faith, without payment, gives emergency care at the scene of an accident or emergency to the victim is not liable for civil damages for personal injury from any act or omission in giving that care, or in providing or arranging further medical care.
