Littering
Utah Code 76-9-1802 — a class C misdemeanor with a $100 minimum fine for each violation
Unlawful littering is dropping, throwing or leaving litter in a park, recreation area, or other public or private land or waterway without the permission of whoever controls it. Litter includes bottles, glass, nails, wire, cans, boards, trash, paper, and anything that would mar the scenic beauty of the land.
Who handles this in Utah: legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Utah directory.
It is a class C misdemeanor with a minimum fine of $100 for each violation, and the court may require at least four hours cleaning up the litter and other litter in a safe area. Whether a particular charge fits is a question for a licensed Utah attorney.
