Voting After a Conviction
Utah Code 20A-2-101.5 — restored on probation, on parole, or when the prison term is done
A person convicted of a felony in any state or federal court has the right to register and vote restored when sentenced to probation, granted parole, or done with the term of incarceration.
Who handles this in Utah: legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Utah directory.
The right to hold elective office is restored when all felony convictions are expunged, or 10 years after the most recent felony conviction once restitution and fines are paid and each sentence is complete.
