Horses on the Road
RCW 46.61.025 — a rider or a wagon driver has a driver's rights and duties
Every person riding an animal or driving an animal drawn vehicle on a roadway has all the rights and duties of the driver of a vehicle under the rules of the road, except those provisions that by their very nature can have no application.
Who handles this in Washington: King County Bar Association, Lawyer Referral Service; and legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Washington directory.
Which lamps a wagon carries at night, and whether the impaired driving law reaches a rider, are not settled by this section. A particular ticket is a question for a licensed Washington attorney.
