Notice To End A Tenancy
W. Va. Code § 37-6-5 — one full period for a month to month, and three months before the end of a year to year

Notice to the tenant may be served on the tenant or anyone holding the place under them. Notice from the tenant may be served on any owner or the owner's agent.
The section gives way where the agreement fixes another notice period or none. A particular notice is a question for a licensed West Virginia attorney.
