The Registration Calendar
Wis. Stat. 301.45 — updated information within 10 days after a change
Ten days. Whenever any of the registration information changes, including the address, the person provides the department with the updated information within 10 days after the change, except as the section provides for people on parole or extended supervision.
On supervision. A person on parole or extended supervision who did not know beforehand that the address would change provides the updated information within 24 hours after the change.
Leaving Wisconsin. A person changing residence to another state notifies the department no later than 10 days before moving out.
Who must register, for how long, and the penalty for failing to report are set out in other parts of the law that are not on this page. Whether a deadline applies to a particular person is a question for a licensed Wisconsin attorney.
