Bringing in Wildlife
W.S. 23-3-301 — no live antelope, bear, deer, elk, wolf or other wildlife brought in without permission
No one may bring into the state any living antelope, bear, deer, elk, moose, mountain goat, mountain lion, bighorn sheep, wolf or wolf hybrid, or any other living wildlife, except as the game and fish law allows. None of those animals, or a falcon, may be sold without the commission's permission.
Who handles this in Wyoming: legal aid programs, lawyer referral and the state offices, listed in the Wyoming directory.
Breaking the section is a high misdemeanor. Wildlife taken illegally anywhere else may not be brought in or kept. Whether a particular animal may be kept is a question for the state game and fish officials or a licensed Wyoming attorney.
