Door to Door Sales
C.R.S. 5-3-402 — until midnight of the third business day to cancel a home solicitation sale
A buyer in Colorado may cancel a home solicitation sale until midnight of the third business day after signing the agreement or offer to purchase.
Who handles this in Colorado: Colorado Department of Law, Stop Fraud Colorado; and legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Colorado directory.
Cancellation is written notice to the seller at the address in the agreement, in any form that shows the intention not to be bound, and notice by mail is given when it is properly addressed, stamped and put in a mailbox.
A buyer who asks in a separate signed statement for immediate goods or services in a personal emergency may give up the right, as the section describes.
