Turning Eighteen
1 Del. C. § 701 — full legal age at 18 for all purposes, unless a law says otherwise
A person who reaches the age of 18 years is of full legal age for all purposes, with the duties, liabilities, rights and legal capacity of an adult, unless a law provides otherwise.
- At 18, a person of sound mind may make a will.
- At 18, a person may be granted a marriage license.
Alcohol, marijuana and most firearms stay at 21 under their own sections. A particular question is one for a licensed Delaware attorney.
