A Small Estate
Fla. Stat. 735.201 — summary administration at $150,000 or less, or after 2 years
In Florida, summary administration is available for the estate of a resident or a nonresident when the value of the whole estate subject to administration in the state, less the value of property exempt from creditors' claims, does not exceed $150,000, or when the person has been dead for more than 2 years.
Where there is a will, it is available only if the will does not direct the full administration that the probate chapter provides.
