The Last Hundred Feet
Idaho Code § 49-808 — a turn signal for the last one hundred feet, and five seconds on a freeway
One hundred feet, or five seconds. A signal of a turn or lane change is given continuously: for not less than five seconds on a controlled-access highway and when pulling out from a parked position, and for not less than the last one hundred feet traveled before turning everywhere else.
No one turns, changes lanes, merges or exits until it can be done with reasonable safety and with a signal, or stops or suddenly slows without signaling the driver behind when there is a chance to.
Turn signals may not be flashed on one side as a courtesy to tell the driver behind to pass. A particular stop is a question for a licensed Idaho attorney.
