Housing Discrimination
KRS 344.360 — no refusing to rent or sell because of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, disability or national origin
- A real estate operator, broker, salesperson or anyone acting for them may not refuse to sell, rent or lease property because of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, disability or national origin.
- Nor may they set different terms or services for those reasons, or refuse to receive a good faith offer.
A person injured by a violation of the civil rights chapter may sue in Circuit Court to stop it and recover actual damages, costs and a reasonable attorney's fee.
