Turning Eighteen
Minn. Stat. 645.451 — an adult is 18 or older, for any statute unless it says otherwise
The definitions. For any Minnesota statute, unless a different meaning is specifically attached or the context requires it, a minor is an individual under the age of 18, an adult is 18 years of age or older, and legal age or full age means 18 years of age or older.
Ages set for specific purposes elsewhere, such as buying alcohol or tobacco and some licenses and permits, are not on this page. How a particular age rule applies to a particular person is a question for a licensed Minnesota attorney.
