Assistance Dogs In Public
Mo. Rev. Stat. § 209.150 — full and equal access, and a service dog with no extra charge
In Missouri, every person with a disability has the same right to the full and free use of streets, sidewalks, public buildings and other public places, and to full and equal accommodations on public conveyances and in hotels and places of public accommodation, subject only to conditions applicable to all.
A person with a disability has the right to be accompanied by a service dog especially trained for the purpose in any of those places, without being required to pay an extra charge for the dog.
The person is liable for any damage the dog does to the premises. The definition of service dog is in a neighboring section, not reproduced here. Whether an animal qualifies is a question for a licensed Missouri attorney.
