Housing Discrimination
NRS 118.100 — ten protected traits, in renting, selling and advertising
No one may act against a person in housing because of race, religious creed, color, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ancestry, familial status or sex.
- Refusing to sell or rent, refusing to negotiate, or otherwise making a dwelling unavailable
- Different terms, conditions or privileges, including fees and deposits
- A notice, statement or advertisement showing a preference, limitation or discrimination
- Saying a dwelling is not available to see, buy or rent when it is
- Pushing people to sell or rent by talk of who is moving into the neighborhood
- Coercing, intimidating, threatening or interfering with anyone using these rights, or helping someone else use them
