Late Fees
NRS 118A.210 — not until 3 calendar days after rent is due, and no more than 5 percent
The cap on a late fee. A landlord may charge a reasonable late fee the rental agreement sets out. In a tenancy longer than week to week, no late fee may be charged until at least 3 calendar days after the rent is due. It may not exceed 5 percent of the periodic rent, and it may not grow because of a late fee charged before.
Rent is due without demand at the time and place agreed. Without a definite term in the agreement, a tenancy is week to week for a tenant paying weekly rent and month to month in every other case.
