Under 21 With Alcohol

NRS 202.020 — a misdemeanor punished by up to 24 hours of community service, a meeting or an evaluation, and sealed once done

A person under 21 who buys alcohol, or drinks it in a bar or other place where it is sold, or possesses it in public for any reason, commits a misdemeanor.

Sealed once the terms are done. When the person fulfills the terms imposed, the court orders the records of the case sealed, without a hearing.

A person under 21 who is the first to call for emergency medical help for another person under 21 who needs it because of drinking, stays until told by the responders that they are no longer needed, and cooperates, is not subject to the penalty for drinking or possessing.
