Registering at the polls. Whatever deadline has passed, an eligible elector may register in person on election day at any polling place in the county, before the polls close, by showing a current Nevada driver's license or identification card with a physical address. If that card shows an old address, a document with the current one will do, such as a utility bill, a bank statement, a paycheck or a government document. The voter is then conditionally registered and votes there, before leaving, by provisional ballot.
At the polling place, a voter whose name is on the roster signs it, and the signature is compared with the registration or with an identification such as the voter registration card, a driver's license, a state identification card, a military identification card, or another government identification bearing a signature and a description or picture.
Mail ballots, early voting and the rules for a first-time voter who registered by mail are in other sections of the chapter and are not reproduced here. Questions about a particular registration are for the county clerk, a court and a licensed Nevada attorney.
