Driving While Suspended
N.J.S.A. 39:3-40 — $500.00 for a first offense, and jail on a second
In New Jersey, no one whose license has been refused, suspended or revoked may drive during that period, and no one may drive a vehicle whose registration has been revoked.

Where the suspension was for driving while intoxicated or refusing a breath test, the vehicle registration privilege may also be revoked.
