N.J.S.A. 34:11-56a4 — raised each January 1 by the cost of living
In New Jersey, the minimum wage rose to $10.00 an hour on July 1, 2019 and $11.00 on January 1, 2020, then by $1.00 an hour each January 1 from 2021 to 2024, inclusive.
Each January 1. Each January 1 the minimum wage rises by any increase in the consumer price index for urban wage earners over the prior year, and if the federal minimum is ever raised above the state's, the state rate rises to match it.
