N.J.S.A. 34:11-4.6 — gross and net pay, rate and hours, with 10 or more employees

In New Jersey, every employer furnishes each employee a statement of deductions for each pay period that deductions are made, and gives notice of the rate of pay and the regular payday at hiring.

Changes. Employees are notified of any change in pay rates or paydays before it takes effect.

Public employers. The State, counties, municipalities, school districts and other public bodies count toward the 10 or more employee rule.

Deductions an employer may take, payday frequency and the records the commissioner requires are not on this page. Whether a particular statement complies is a question for the state's labor department or a licensed New Jersey attorney.
