N.D.C.C. § 14-10-17 — at fourteen, care for a sexually transmitted disease or a substance use disorder without a parent

  • Anyone fourteen or older may get examination, care or treatment for a sexually transmitted disease or a substance use disorder without a parent's consent.
  • A provider may give a minor pregnancy testing and pregnancy pain management without a parent's consent.
  • Prenatal care in the first trimester, or a single visit later, needs no parent's consent; more needs a good faith effort to reach a parent first.
