N.D.C.C. § 12.1-17-01 — willfully causing bodily injury is a class B misdemeanor, serious bodily injury a class C felony

Firing a gun at another person is aggravated assault. A class B misdemeanor carries up to thirty days and $1,500; a class C felony up to five years and $10,000.
