Staying in Your Lane
N.D.C.C. § 39-10-17 — stay within a single lane and change only once it is safe
- A vehicle drives on the right half of a road wide enough, except to pass, avoid an obstruction, or on three-lane and one-way roads.
- Slower traffic keeps to the right-hand lane, except to pass or turn left.
- On a laned road, a vehicle stays as nearly as practicable within one lane and leaves it only once the move is safe.
- A driver may not follow more closely than is reasonable and prudent for the speed, traffic and road.
