Stop Signs and Right of Way
N.D.C.C. § 39-10-24 — stop at the line, then yield to traffic close enough to be a hazard
- At an intersection with no sign or signal, the driver on the left yields to the vehicle on the right; at a T, the terminating road yields.
- At a signal that is not lit, the driver stops and yields as at a stop sign.
- At a stop sign, the driver stops at the line or where the cross traffic can be seen, then yields to vehicles that are a hazard and to those that stopped first.
- A driver yields to authorized vehicles and workers in a marked construction or maintenance area.
