Window Tint

N.D.C.C. § 39-21-39 — the windshield lets through 70 percent of light, other windows 35 percent

  • Tint or material on the windshield, with the glass, transmits at least 70 percent of light.
  • On other windows, at least 35 percent.
  • Windows behind the driver are exempt if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides.
  • Nonreflective tint above the AS-1 line or in the top five inches of the windshield is allowed.
  • No sign or other material may block the driver's clear view of the road.
