Moving Over For Stopped Vehicles
ORS 811.147 — change lanes, or slow to at least five under the limit
Approaching a stopped vehicle showing warning or hazard lights, or a person signaling distress with flares or signs, a driver on a highway with two or more lanes in that direction changes to a lane not next to it or slows to at least five miles per hour under the limit. On a two-lane road, the driver slows that much.
A vehicle stopped in a designated parking area does not count. Failing to do it is a Class B traffic violation.
