53 Pa.C.S. 8844 — 40 days after a change notice, and September 1 for the annual appeal

After a change. A notice of any change in assessment or new assessment is mailed within five days of the change, and states that any person aggrieved may file a written appeal to the board within 40 days of the date of the notice.

The annual appeal. Any person aggrieved by any assessment, whether or not it changed, may appeal to the board in writing on or before September 1, or an earlier date no earlier than August 1 that the county commissioners designate with published notice.

What the appeal names. The appeal identifies the appellant, the property location, the owner, the assessment complained of, and the address for notice of the hearing.
