Email

A month to month tenant over the age of sixty-two years gets at least one hundred twenty days' notice before the rent goes up.

Independent living, assisted living and congregate care facilities are outside the section, and a housing program's own rules can set a different timeframe.

The act does not cap the amount of an increase. A particular increase is a question for a licensed Rhode Island attorney.
