A Teen Driver's License
R.I. Gen. Laws § 31-10-6 — a permit from sixteen years of age; fifty hours of practice and six months before a provisional license, with a curfew and one young passenger

Passengers. During the first twelve months of a provisional license, no more than one passenger younger than twenty-one years of age may ride along, not counting immediate family or household members.
A provisional driver may drive with supervision at any hour, with the supervising driver in the front seat.
