Medical Cannabis
R.I. Gen. Laws § 21-28.6-4 — a registry card, twelve mature plants and 2.5 ounces, and no penalty for medical use
A qualifying patient with a registry identification card is not arrested, prosecuted, penalized or denied any right or privilege, including professional discipline, solely for the medical use of marijuana.
- Twelve mature and twelve immature plants, each with a valid plant tag, stored indoors.
- 2.5 ounces of dried medical marijuana, or its equivalent.
- An amount of wet marijuana set by regulation.
Those are the amounts the protection covers.
Adults twenty-one and over have the separate personal use limits too. A particular situation is a question for a licensed Rhode Island attorney.
